On Purpose, houses a private fitness coaching facility offering semi-private and small-group fitness training. We specialize in working with older adults and those with physical limitations and assist them in achieving their goals, building their functional strength for daily life and improving their overall quality of life. We work with each client to custom design an exercise plan that reflects their short and long-term goals.
There are three common ailments that effect many of us as we age:
Sarcopenia, Osteoporosis and Obesity ("The BIG Three").
As a TOA ambassador facility, our mission is to help prevent and/or reverse all three in you!
Our training approach features movements with free weights (think kettlebells, dumbbells and bands) as this style of training most appropriately prepares you for real life experiences.
Squatting, pulling, pushing, pressing, twisting, throwing, slamming, splitting your feet (walking, lunges, etc.) and even jumping are movements that all of us do (or should be able to do) on a daily basis.
